Pulse Names Graymills, Eaglewood Technologies as Distributors

BRISTOL, UK—UK-based ink manufacturer Pulse Roll Label Products has named Graymills, Inc. and Eaglewood Technologies as distributors in North America. Chicago-based Graymills will handle sales and support for the Pulse Digitech range of UV varnishes throughout the United States. Eaglewood Technologies, located in Minneapolis, Minn., will handle sales of the Pulse range of label printing inks and coatings and provide full technical support.

The Digitech range of UV varnishes is aimed at users of HP Indigo digital presses and is available in gloss, matt, super matt and foil blockable formulations. The range also includes a UV primer that permits in-line UV printing or overprinting to accept digital inks. The formulations are suited to a wide range of substrates including coated paper, board, coated thermal paper, treated and primed synthetics as well as aluminium foils.

“HP Indigo users know that there is an inherent incompatibility between the Indigo Electroinks and most UV curable coatings,” comments Ed Dedman, Director of Emerging Technologies at Graymills. “They just don’t like each other. The new Digitech UV overprints for HP Indigo presses have been specially formulated to overcome incompatibility issues and exhibit excellent wetting, lay and adhesion over digital inks without the need to Corona treat or drive off residual imaging oil.”

This is our second distributer appointment for the USA and follows that of Graymills, who will be handling our digital range of products.”
