PRP, a provider of creative design, brand management services and printing plates, has announced it has been awarded the patent for Digital ExSpect plate technology in Canada.
Digital ExSpect, the industry’s first digital flat-top-dot flexographic printing plate, greatly reduces dot-gain on all substrates and virtually eliminates fluting from corrugated substrates.
“As the innovators of flat top dot technology, this patent for exposing flexographic print plates in a reduced oxygen environment, represents another milestone for PRP," said Chris Green, general manager of co-inventor of Digital ExSpect. "We are proud the Canadian Patent Agency awarded patent number 2,698,270 to PRP and regard this as validation for all of our efforts to maximize print quality over the years.”
“We have invested in additional capacity over the last several years and will be able to accommodate those customers who have reaped the benefits of our plate technology and wish to continue to use it,” said Kellie Green, president of PRP.
