PRINTING United Alliance Renews Partnership with National Association of Manufacturers’ Council of Manufacturing Associations
Fairfax, Virginia — PRINTING United Alliance, the most comprehensive member-based printing and graphic arts association in the U.S., today announces that it has renewed its partnership with the National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA). Working together, the associations create a strong voice for printers, representing all facets of manufacturing operations in the industry.
According to the NAM, manufacturers provide more than 12.5 million jobs, which pay nearly 20% in annual compensation, on average, than private-sector non-farm jobs; and create $2.525 trillion, or 11% of GDP. Additionally, more than $295.7 billion is invested annually in the R&D, accounting for 58% of private sector R&D and driving innovation, boosting productivity, and raising living standards across America. PRINTING United Alliance Chief Economist Andy Paparozzi says that partnering with the NAM keeps the Alliance and its members abreast of developments in this immensely important sector of the economy.
“PRINTING United Alliance represents the most diverse group of manufacturers in the printing industry, including those in packaging, commercial printing, industrial printing, apparel decoration; and so much more,” says Keith Smith, senior VP of association partnerships at the National Association of Manufacturers. “PRINTING United Alliance provides strong, consistent leadership for its members, who play an integral role in the manufacturing sector. The CMA is strengthened by their involvement, and this partnership allows us to collectively serve our industries with the very best in collaborative initiatives and resources.”
Industry Partnership Benefiting Manufacturers in Printing
PRINTING United Alliance’s membership in the CMA allows for further advocacy on a range of issues, creating opportunities to get involved in policy discussions and advocacy affecting the manufacturing industry; have their interests represented in court by the NAM Legal Center; build coalitions, and more.
“PRINTING United Alliance greatly appreciates our partnership with the NAM and the CMA which allows us to share key insight, perspective and the latest information with other leading manufacturing associations to ensure that manufacturers have a strong voice in national policy,” says Ford Bowers, CEO, PRINTING United Alliance. “Knowing the NAM and the CMA are providing top-notch advocacy on general manufacturing policy allows PRINTING United Alliance to focus our advocacy resources on niche policy issues unique to printing and packaging. We look forward to collaborating further in the new year with even more ways to benefit the overall manufacturing sector.”
