RIVER FALLS, Wis.—Print UV 2009 has booked a return engagement March 8-10 at the new Encore Wynn Las Vegas. Following the success of the inaugural Print UV conference in 2008, organizers of this year's event are putting the final touches on an educational and networking program designed to promote the growth of UV printing throughout the graphic arts industry.
"Last year's event marked the first step toward organizing the UV community, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive," says Stephen Metcalf, president and CEO of Air Motion Systems, founder and Platinum sponsor of the Print UV conference. "This year, we are set to outdo ourselves by providing attendees with even more opportunities to learn about exciting UV trends and innovations from expert practitioners, as well as to catch up on the latest advances in inks, coatings and equipment. In addition to presenting several conference sessions exploring the environmental benefits of UV printing, we also will announce the results of a new white paper on this important and timely topic."
The conference format is geared to the needs of executives, managers, and master printers, who make daily decisions about implementing the UV process in their organizations. The conference agenda places emphasis on peer-to-peer networking opportunities, UV business topics and UV technical strategies.
Print UV 2009 and the PrintUV online community are sponsored by a group of key industry participants including Air Motion Systems, Absolute Graphic Technologies USA, INX, KBA North America, manroland, and Mitsubishi Lithographic USA (Platinum); Transilwrap, Zeller+Gmelin Corporation, Pamarco Global Graphics, Sentinel and Actega Kelstar (Silver); Conti-Tech and Printing Impressions magazine (Gold).
