Cerm, NV Appoints Business Consultant for North America
OOSTKAMP, Belgium—Cerm, NV, (a Heidelberg company), one of Europe’s leading suppliers of management software for narrow web and label printers, has appointed Ron Bailey as its first business development consultant for the United States.
Founded in 1984 in Oostkamp, Belgium near the city of Bruges, Cerm, NV has 160 customers throughout 18 countries. With its 30+ employees, the company invests in industry software R&D programmers, as well as hardware and knowledgeable end user consultants. “What impressed me most about Cerm,” says Bailey, “is the print knowledge of the programmers and managers.” “This results in a system that’s ready to use by our customers with minimal customization.”
Bailey, a resident of Atlanta, Ga., joined Cerm, NV in September 2011, having held previous positions at print and graphics suppliers like Heidelberg USA and Agfa Graphics. He also has extensive experience in systems integrations and workflow management gained from working in printing plants throughout North America.
“Our objective is to find a good match between customer’s expectations and our software,” says Peter Dhondt, global business development and sales manager for Cerm, NV. “Having Ron’s experience and knowledge in the U.S. will contribute to making this possible.”
Cerm, NV has several industry memberships and affiliations including the Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI), FINAT, and CIP4. Included with these affiliations, are some of leading industry awards such as the 2009 CIP4 International Print Production Innovation (CIPPI) award for “Small Business Process Automation Implementation of the Year.”
The company also has strategic alliances with several of the industry leaders such as EskoArtwork, Hewlett Packard, Advanced Vision Technology (AVT), Xeikon, and GSE. “Our strategic alliances are very important in the United States and throughout the world,” says Tom Musschoot, founder of Cerm, NV. “Building alliances with our industry partners will strengthen our position in the marketplace.”
