Presstek, a provider of eco-friendly printing solutions, has announced two new additions to its North American sales team. Donn Goldstick has joined Presstek as the new digital printing systems western region sales manager and Harry Manzi has joined as an account manager supporting thermal printing plates. Goldstick brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to Presstek. Prior to joining the company, he held positions of regional vice president of Heidelberg, and more recently, regional sales manager with Xerox and Ricoh, where he advanced the installations of digital toner technology into the print market. Goldstick's unique blend of conventional and digital press expertise will greatly enhance Presstek’s go to market initiatives.
Steve Chmielewski, who formerly managed the western region, has extensive industry experience and a strong performance record, positioning him for further success as he transitions over to a newly created central region territory for Presstek. Manzi, Presstek’s new account manager for thermal printing plates, previously held consultative sales and business development roles at AGFA Corp., 3M and Kodak Polychrome Graphics. Manzi will be responsible for business development, client retention and dealer relations for Presstek’s thermal plate products.
“The expansion of our sales force and account management support gives us the ability to provide more personalized service to our customers and dealer partners,” Ralph Jenkins, director of worldwide sales and marketing, said. “This approach aligns with our goal to continually improve the customer experience. In addition, we continue to make investments through enhanced features that improve our customers’ operational productivity and help them be more capable, profitable, and competitive.”
One of those productivity-enhancing features is the highly anticipated Eco-UV curing option for Presstek DI digital offset presses, which dries substrates instantly and requires significantly less power than conventional UV. Eco-UV decreases overall job turnaround time and opens doors for businesses to differentiate themselves by printing on non-absorptive plastics for POP and display, credit, membership and gift cards, cut sheet labels or packaging.
“Having many years of experience with market leaders in both digital printing systems and offset, it’s clear that Presstek DI presses are becoming a preferred solution over toner for a highly automated, reliable high performance system that not only provides a high return on investment, but has no click charges, and prints at a low cost per page, especially on runs between 500 to 10,000,” Goldstick said.
Presstek DI presses are offered in four- to six-color configurations with built in automation features that make them easy to run and maintain. With fast print set-up and no chemistry to contend with, media is for up to 44 jobs, and is pre-loaded and imaged directly on press in precise register at the touch of a button. Remanufactured to new press specifications, CPO presses represent a 50 percent cost savings compared to new, offering an exceptional value to print service providers at a time when it’s critical for businesses to invest in current technology and stay competitive. The value is further increased for customers because all DI presses whether new or CPO, are backed by DI experts and come standard with a comprehensive one-year full warranty.
