The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) will facilitate intimate, folding carton-specific information sessions with key exhibitors at drupa, June 1-8 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Not only will this initiative streamline the experience for PPC converter members, it will also inspire conversations around paperboard packaging that may not have occurred otherwise.
Participating converters will join PPC President Ben Markens for scheduled appointments with exhibitors, which will be tailored specifically to innovations for paperboard packaging. Between appointments, Markens will walk the show, helping both newcomers and veterans navigate the largest print equipment exhibition in the world.
PPC first began this program at drupa 2012 after listening to members who desired an efficient means for receiving highly targeted information at drupa. After robust participation and positive feedback in 2012, PPC decided to bring the program back for the 2016 exhibition.
"Here at PPC, we are always looking for ways to provide value to our members, whether it be saving them time or providing them new information to help them grow and thrive." Markens said. "By facilitating carton-specific conversations at the upcoming drupa, we hope to do both."
For those converters that cannot make the trek to Germany, PPC is also offering its quadrennial “drupa in Springfield” workshop on August 24-25. During this forum, which takes place at PPC headquarters in Springfield, Mass., industry suppliers will give attendees a recap of the innovations they revealed at drupa. These conversations will benefit both executives as well as plant managers and other employees who work on the shop floor.
