The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) has seen a surge in new membership since the beginning of 2015, with six new converter members and six new supplier members. They include:
Converters: Master Packaging, Inc., MinMor Industries, LLC, Preferred Printing & Packaging, Inc., Rondo-Pak, Sandusky Packaging Corp., Vogel Carton, LLC
Suppliers: Cellmark Inc., CSi Industries Automation, Inc., HB Fuller, manroland Sheetfed, GmbH, Tamarak Products, Inc., Valco Melton
One of the most recent principal members to join PPC, MinMor Industries’ Olympak Printing and Packaging division (Brooklyn Center, MN) manufactures folding cartons for national customers. Additionally, ISO 9000 compliant Preferred Printing and Packaging (Ontario, CA) manufactures folding cartons for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and cosmetics segments.
Recent supplier members include one of the largest pulp and paper trading companies in the world, Cellmark (Huntington Beach, CA), which handles SBS, Poly SBS, CCNB, CNK, and other grades. H.B. Fuller’s (Vandais Heights, MN) folding carton adhesives are designed for a variety of board types and line speeds across joint, window, and film laminating applications.
With the folding carton market slated to enjoy moderate growth through 2018, converters and suppliers to the industry are seeking out ways to increase their market share—and protect against competing substrates. PPC membership provides an array of resources to do just that.
Access to PPC’s folding carton industry data benchmarking reports is a driving factor in many firms’ decisions to join the association. By aggregating participant data, PPC’s exclusive benchmarking reports provide invaluable information on the state of the industry, carton shipments, compensation, and more.
Members also join PPC for networking and educational opportunities. By coming together twice a year at the bi-annual conferences, member companies build close connections and learn best practices from one another and during general sessions and workshops.
