Matik Inc. has announced the installation of the first OMET iFlex in North America. Phenix Label, of Olathe, Kansas, is a packaging design expert that works within the needs and budget of its customers to select the printing processes, materials, coatings, finishings, and customized solutions.
The iFlex represents the beginning of a new era for narrow web printing with the first application of lasers in flexography. It is also a breakthrough in technology that simplifies the operator’s effort to optimize performance.
The new iFlex, released earlier this year, has received tremendous praise by users. The iFlex flexo label press features reduced set-up time, paired with lower maintenance. The iFlex’s iLight feature is a pre-register system that uses laser pointers located on each flexo group to quickly align the flexible die.
OMET is a family owned company over half a century in age with a workforce of over 250 employees. The sale of the first iFlex in North America can be attributed to the American branch of OMET. This branch was established four years ago, and has already built a strong presence in the country, providing parts and technical support for any OMET customers.
OMET's packaging printing machines combine ease of use, low wastage levels, reliable non-stop operation, and efficiency on short runs. OMET packaging printing machines support customers’ growth, boost their efficiency, and can be adapted to suit any changing (or future) need.
