GREEN BAY, Wis.—Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance flexographic printing machinery for the flexible packaging industry, has announced the sale of a new 65˝ Infiniti NT 10-color CI flexo press to Larsen Converting Industries. The Infiniti NT is equipped with new features to improve print performance and productivity.
Larsen Converting serves a variety of markets ranging from industrial packaging to the fast food, infant care, medical, and party industries. The company is investing more than $3 million in the new PCMC press, which will allow Larsen to add 14 full-time jobs this year.
In a recent article in the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Larsen CFO Mark Carrick said that working with a local company on the project is a real plus. “[PCMC is] a great press manufacturer—one of the best in the world,” Carrick stated. Having technological support close by will be a great benefit, he said.
The new Infiniti NT flexo press from PCMC will allow Larsen to perform 10-color high-speed printing on paper and film up to 65 inches wide, which opens up new capabilities for the printer, according to Carrick. New business has already been pre-sold for the new press, which is scheduled for shipment in September.
“This press will serve as an ‘open house’ installation for PCMC, providing a location close to our factory where interested clients can see an Infiniti NT press in operation,” explained Mark Gillis, global sales director for PCMC’s printing and nonwovens converting division. “As such, we are very excited and look forward to a very close working relationship with Larsen.”
“This order builds continued traction for PCMC and our parent company, Barry-Wehmiller, which shares our dedication to a strong future serving the flexible packaging printing converter needs,” Gillis said.
