PPC to Honor Top Manufacturing Safety Records
SPRINGFIELD, MA—Dec. 18, 2012—At the upcoming 2013 Spring Meeting: Outlook and Strategies Conference in Nashville, TN, the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) will honor its members’ top manufacturing safety records with the annual Safety Boxscore Awards, which are based on the cumulative number of hours worked without an OSHA-recordable injury.
The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Chairman’s Safety Award, which is presented to the company that finishes the year with the most hours worked without an OSHA recordable injury. Honors will also be given to those companies that have clocked 125,000, 250,000, 500,000, 750,000, and one million hours without a recordable injury. Additionally, 12-month calendar awards will be issued for working an entire calendar year without injury.
“We’re so pleased to recognize our members’ outstanding achievements in safety,” said Brian Chaisson, director of industry benchmarking. “Their impressive track records are clear evidence of the high standards set in the folding carton industry, specifically among the members of our association.”
