The Markens Group Wins Local Business Award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.—On Friday, October 28, 2011, The Markens Group, Inc. was honored by the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield, Inc. (ACCGS) as one of 2011’s Super 60, an annual award that is presented to 60 of the fastest-growing privately-held companies in the region. This is the second year in a row that the Markens Group, Inc. has received the Super 60 award.

The Markens Group, Inc. is a business consulting and strategic management firm that also manages industry associations, including the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC), a leading industry association serving suppliers and converters of all forms of paperboard packaging. Founded by Ben and Jennie Markens in 1988, the firm currently employs a team of ten full-time staff in its downtown Springfield, Mass. offices.
