Overnight Labels Reduces Solid Waste

In order to quantify production waste, Overnight Labels, Inc.’s production team continually measures data and applies that data to a Daily Stock Usage report that is then compiled into weekly and monthly data reports. This information is used to establish quality and waste management objectives.

Overnight Labels, Inc. is committed to the continuation of solid waste reduction. In order to solidify this commitment, the QC department has set a goal of an additional 2.75 percent waste reduction for 2007. This goal has been discussed and the production manager, production staff, and upper management have signed an agreement of these terms. The agreement states that established QMS measures, including the use of tools that aid in faster production times and reduced stock waste, must be utilized during the production of all jobs in order to maintain the ongoing reduction of solid waste.
