NPES Elects New Chairman and Director
RESTON, Va.—NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies elected a new chairman of its board as well as a new director at its Annual Conference October 9 in Key Biscayne, Florida.
The new chairman is Thomas Saggiomo, President of Agfa Corporation's Graphic Systems business in North America. He was elected to the NPES board in 1998, and is the 26th chief executive officer elected to the chairman's post in the Association's 72-year history. Saggiomo was elected to a one-year term expiring at the 2006 NPES Annual Conference. He succeeds Kathryn P. Marx, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Flint Ink, who will remain on the board's Executive Committee.
A graduate of New York City Technical College, Saggiomo has held many management and executive leadership positions during his a 30-year career in the graphic arts industry. He previously served as Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee of the board of directors of NPES, as well as a member of the board of Graphic Arts Show Company. He is also a member of the Graphic Communications Advisory Board of New York University.
Also elected as a new director on the board was Christopher J. Payne, Director of Product Planning and Strategy, Graphic Communications Group, Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester NY.
Re-elected as President was Regis J. Delmontagne, to a term expiring at the end of 2005. Elected as President to a term effective on January 1, 2006 was Ralph J. Nappi. Elected to serve as Treasurer was John Hamm, Vice President Marketing, Xerox Corporation. Other re-elected officers were: Vice President William K. Smythe, NPES; and Secretary Mark J. Nuzzaco, NPES.

At its annual awards banquet, the Association honored the retiring chair and two retiring members of the board: Paul Madill, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Madern, Inc., and Kosh Miyao, Senior Vice President of Komori America Corporation.
