NPES Elect Four Directors at Spring Meeting
SANTA FE, N.M.—NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies elected four new members of the board of directors at its spring meeting April 21-23 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The new directors are Gary Dolgins, Chief Executive Officer of Citiplate, Inc.; Patricia Janssen, Senior Vice President of MacDermid Printing Solutions; Robert Stabler, President of Nipson North America, and Wayne Wasulko, President and Founder of RIPit Computer Corporation.
Dolgins' business career spans more than 30 years in sales and marketing with leading graphic communications companies. Prior to joining Citiplate, he was Principal of The Dolgins Consulting Group and served on the board of Citiplate, in addition to advising companies such as Dalim Software, Caldera Graphic Systems and vio Worldwide. Previously he served as Vice President and General Manager of Gerber Systems, Vice President of Corporate Systems Marketing at Polychrome Corporation, and Vice President of Marketing at DuPont Electronic Imaging Systems Inc. (formerly Crosfield Electronics Inc.). With a strong commitment to education in graphic arts, he serves on the advisory boards of New York University Center for Graphic Communications and Management, Fairleigh Dickinson University and The Graphic Arts Advisory Commission of the New York City Board of Education.
As a Senior Vice President with MacDermid, Incorporated, Janssen is responsible for business development. Her career in the printing industry began at Hercules, Incorporated as a technical field representative following her early career in water treatment. During her years of service at Hercules she held positions in product development, technical service and sales in both Printing and Electronics. At the time the division was acquired by MacDermid, she had achieved the position of Vice President and General Manager for Electronics and Printing. When the business transitioned to MacDermid, she continued as President of the combined Electronics and Printing groups. In 2000, she accepted the position as President of BASF Printing Systems responsible for the Printing Plate and Ink business in North America and has now returned to MacDermid in her present capacity.
Stabler was appointed to head Nipson's North American business in January 2005. Prior to joining Nipson, he served as President of Agfa's graphic business in the NAFTA region. He has senior management experience in both the graphic and consumer imaging industries and extensive knowledge of the North American and European markets. A native of the United Kingdom, he received a B.A. with honors in history from Reading University and an MBA from Kingston University.
In the 1980s, Wasulko's introduction to the Macintosh inspired him to explore business ideas utilizing the powerful new tool. His background in sales and marketing, combined with the graphic arts/design experience of his wife Donna and led to the launch of his company. The need for high-resolution output was critical to their print shop's success, and Wasulko's frustration with available technology led to his development of a RIP that would answer the need for state-of-the-art capabilities without economic or ease-of-integration compromise. Those requirements have been at the heart of RIPit Computer Corporation's development philosophy since the company opened in 1989, providing RIP and CTP solutions. Purchased by Luminous and eventually coming under the ownership of Imation, the company was re-acquired by Wasulko in 1998.
