Nilpeter to Launch PANORAMA Product Line

Nilpeter will officially launch its PANORAMA product line, including the five-color DP-3 UV inkjet unit at LabelExpo 2015 in Brussels. The press combines Nilpeter's strength in web handling technology with advanced inkjet printing and workflow.

The PANORAMA product line is designed for fast setups and quick job turnarounds. It provides high productivity in the label sector and can produce a variety of label jobs in short to medium run lengths with minimal waste.

The product line features a maximum printing width of 12.67˝ (322 mm) on up to 350 mm wide web. It prints up to 164 ft/min (50 m/min) using paper or filmic label laminates from 90 to 350 microns. High-definition UV-inks are used for CMYK, with an opaque white ink as standard for printing transparent films and metallic foils.

In addition, Nilpeter has adapted many of its inline finishing modules for digital printing. This includes a web in-feed, a varnishing unit, and small dual rewinds. A mark sensor allows the precise re-inserting of webs for reverse printing, or overprinting of pre-printed webs, including variable data.

The PANORAMA DP-3 print engine provides consistent color output using single-pass 600 dpi piezo printheads with 4-level greyscale imaging. A minimum droplet size of three picoliters provides small-dot halftones for true flesh tones and fine vignettes. Using a color editing tool, users can match most Pantone colors and spot colors.
