PAC, CRG Help Reduce Matrix Waste
NEWARK, Del.—Precision AirConvey (PAC) and Channeled Resources Group (CRG) have formed a joint venture offering a comprehensive, sustainable solution to managing label matrix waste that aims to divert the material from the waste stream and convert it to energy. Developed to help label converters, printers, and other label matrix waste generators eliminate disposal costs for landfilling and/or incineration, the joint venture features a turnkey approach that encompasses capturing the label matrix waste at the press and conveying it to a baler via an automated waste handling system, collecting the baled material, and hauling it to a nearby Greenwood Fuels waste to energy processing plant.
Heidelberg Expands Digital Printing Business
Heidelberg and Ricoh are continuing to expand their digital printing partnership announced earlier this year. While sales units in Germany and the UK have been actively marketing the Ricoh "C901 Graphic Arts Edition" digital printing solution since the start of April, Heidelberg has been expanding the strategic partnership with local Ricoh teams to implement the global sales agreement in other countries. Sales have been launched according to plan in Thailand, Malaysia, and France and the collaboration was rolled out in North and South America in September. Heidelberg is expanding its portfolio of Ricoh digital printing systems and will distribute the recently launched Ricoh Pro C751 digital printing line.

KENNESAW, Ga.—Heidelberg USA announced that James P. Dunn will retire from the company. Harald Weimer will take over as president of Heidelberg USA and market head for North America effective later this year. He is currently president of Heidelberg Mexico.

HINGHAM, Mass.—GMG Americas has recently made a number of management additions and changes to its organization to support recent growth. The company has appointed Joe Varone VP, sales, North America and Marc Welch as the new director, strategic accounts. Birgit Plautz and Juergen Roesch have relocated from GMG in Europe to become GMG Americas' new manager of technical services and business development/solutions architect, respectively. In addition, Paulo Monteiro, business manager, Latin America, has relocated to new offices near Orlando, Florida.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.—FLXON has appointed Ed Mora to the new position of business manager – Latin America. He will focus will be on helping printer partners reduce waste and meet their sustainability challenges, while developing new support services.
MILWAUKEE, Wis.—Label Traxx has named Maciej Matejczuk its agent for Central and Eastern Europe. Under the agreement, Matejczuk will market the Label Traxx product to label printers and flexographic converters throughout the region. pP
