Sun Chemical Opens New Plant
FRANKFURT, Germany—Sun Chemical displayed its commitment to the food package printing market through the grand opening of its new manufacturing plant in Frankfurt, Germany.
The plant was built using clean room and HACCP directives to ensure that industry standards are adopted in manufacturing of Sun Chemical inks. The new facility is dedicated to the highest level of cleanliness and uses advanced technology to create high-quality sheetfed packaging inks.
Mark Andy Increases Installed Base in Australia
ST. LOUIS—Mark Andy Inc. has seen a recent surge of machine orders in Australia. With support from distributor Aldus Engineering Pty. Ltd., the company has taken orders for Comco and Mark Andy printing presses and Rotoflex finishing solutions.
The several Mark Andy equipment orders include two Performance Series P7 presses, a Comco C1 press, and four Rotoflex machines sold into the region, including multiple VSI machines.
DuPont Recognized as Innovator by FPPA
WILMINGTON, Del.—The DuPont™ Cyrel® DigiCorr System for printing on corrugated packaging has received the 2010 Technological Innovator of the Year award from the Flexographic Prepress Platemakers Association (FPPA).
The association noted the unique technical attributes of the Cyrel® DigiCorr System, as well as its contribution to advancing flexography in the corrugated printing industry.
