New products abound at CPP EXPO
Paramus, N.J.—Hundreds of new products and new ideas in converting/package printing technology were showcased at Chicago’s McCormick Place during an industry event showcasing three specific, yet related, industry exhibits: CPP EXPO, PACK EXPO International, and PROCESS EXPO which took place October 29-November 2, 2006.
Over the course of five days, tens of thousands of industry professionals attended this unique supply chain event. While CPP EXPO (Converting & Package Printing Expo) focused exclusively on the converting/package printing aspect, it was clear that this type of efficient and effective industry forum, as part of a larger whole, is on its way to becoming a popular event.
Re-signs for both CPP EXPO 2007 and 2008 catapulted during the show. With 132 exhibiting companies on the CPP EXPO show floor, 52 percent have reserved space in future CPP EXPO’s; 64 percent of whom have opted to contract for both events at this point in time, with an additional four new equipment manufacturers confirming space in CPP EXPO 2007, with plans to bring operating machinery. CPP EXPO 2007 takes place October 15-17 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV; CPP EXPO 2008 will take place November 9 – 13, 2008 in McCormick’s Lakeside Center in Chicago, IL. Both events will, once again, partner with and co-locate with PACK EXPO and PROCESS EXPO.
“Obviously, this type of response is extremely encouraging,” stated Leo Nadolske, president of CPP EXPO. “The converting industry has been approaching tradeshows with caution, but confirming participation now states loudly and clearly the confidence the suppliers have in CPP EXPO—and substantiates the benefits derived by being part of an event that unequivocally brings the supply chain together.”
Participating exhibitors echoed these sentiments: “Converting goes hand-in-hand with packaging. Our success depends on converter customers’ success in the pouch and shrink sleeve business,” said Raul Matos, Karlville Development. “CPP EXPO with PACK EXPO is an ideal venue to maximize our exposure into the marketplace.”
Giancarlo Caimmi of Nordemccanica further agreed: “We have been very pleased with the show itself organized well and quality of attendees. We have sold machines to South American companies, Korea, Japan, and Australia – and we got leads for market niches that we were very surprised to see! We love the idea of the marriage of CPP EXPO and PACK EXPO International in the same venue.”
