New Hires Strengthen Durst's North American Sales Staff
Durst's U.S. sales team has received some recent additions. Textiles/soft-signage printing expert Bob Rychel has joined the team and Large-Format Digital Sales Manager Tom Green now has an expanded role with the company, serving the Southeast region in addition to his more general responsibilities.
Both Rychel and Green will attend the SGIA Expo, Nov. 3-6 in Atlanta, to meet with show attendees and demonstrate the benefits of Durst printers for their businesses. Durst will feature a high-productivity Rho 1312 hybrid printer; a versatile, precision-printing Rho 312R roll printer, and a workhorse, environmentally friendly Rhotex 322 soft-signage printer in Booth 2927.
Rychel comes to Durst with 25 years of experience in the large-format digital graphics marketplace – including the last eight focused on the textile/soft-signage segment. He said his decision to specialize in fabric printing was based on his belief that the segment was poised for extraordinary innovation and growth.
“I welcomed the opportunity to come to Durst, given the company’s incredible reputation for manufacturing and for supporting serious production inkjet printing,” Rychel said. “Durst’s people and products will allow me every opportunity to be very successful and to build lifelong relationships with customers who partner with us in the textile market.”
Green, a 20-year printing industry veteran, joined Durst in 2013. Over his career he developed extensive knowledge of and experience with screen, litho and digital imaging – specializing not only in large-format POP/POS applications, but also a range of innovative industrial applications such as printing on glass, membrane switch, solar, and other techniques.
In his expanded role, Green is introducing direct digital UV inkjet printing into businesses that might not have digital UV applications in Durst’s Southeast region. His consultative approach is helping print service providers understand how they can streamline operations and gain new growth opportunities.
"I’m really enjoying this opportunity to help build Durst presence in the Southeastern U.S.," Green said. "I started my career in the Southeast, and it’s been great to ‘come home’ and begin to work on the challenges ahead. The Southeast is a strong wide-format print market. Durst has the right products to meet the region's needs."
