New Era Converting Machinery will show a complete coating and laminating line in its booth at the upcoming ICE USA show in Orlando, Fla., from April 25-27. New Era’s booth #501, located directly in front of the show hall entrance, is the largest booth space at ICE USA.
The coating line is a purpose-built machine capable of running at 500 fpm under constant, closed loop tension control. The machine can handle 50˝ diameter input bundles at 60˝ wide, laminating two materials prior to windup. Featured is a specialty coating station which is of modular design to allow the customer to change coating technologies in the future as their business grows.
“This new machine will have much greater throughput than existing equipment,” John Looser, New Era regional sales manager, said. “It is capable of running at higher speeds and wider web widths and takes advantage of the improved efficiency of running larger incoming and outgoing roll diameters. The operation is improved dramatically with the updated drive and control system; the ease and repeatability of setting and recalling operating parameters results in a high level of performance stability.”
This is the first time New Era will be bringing a fully integrated equipment line to the show, and visitors will be able to see the entire process line assembled in its operating state while having the opportunity to speak with the technical staff on hand about how it all works. Following the show, a complete turnkey installation, managed and staffed by New Era, will begin at the customer's site. It is anticipated that the equipment will begin producing material in the latter part of Q2 2017 after completion of customer acceptance.
“New Era has exhibited at every ICE USA show and can attribute at least one major capital equipment sale to each show we attended,” said Bob Pasquale, president of New Era. “This says a lot about the quality of leads being generated at the show and the type of attendees it attracts.”
