ProtoPrint Technologies Focuses on New Flexo Technologies

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—Ed Dedman, a flexo-industry veteran of more than 30 years, has formed a new company, ProtoPrint Technologies, to focus on representing and developing new ink, coating, and print technologies for the flexographic industry.

Says Dedman, “Our focus will be two-fold. First, the company will represent several innovative product lines, which offer the user improvements in print quality and press runability, using new materials and methods. Second, we will be developing new technologies for the flexo printing process, which will bring tremendous advances to flexo’s predictability, consistency, and repeatability. We will launch at least one new technology at the FFTA Forum & Info*Flex in Las Vegas in May.”

Dedman concludes, “Over the years working in the ink business with Werneke, Akzo Nobel, Zeller+Gmelin, and SICPA/Siegwerk, and in the press business with Aquaflex and HP Indigo, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many great people in the industry. I look forward to re-establishing my relationships with many good friends and customers in the flexo community.”
