NARROW-WEB PRESS PURCHASE PAINS?

Rotary screen printing integration continues as a strong trend among press manufacturers. At the end of last year, Gallus added a 20˝ rotary screen unit to its EM 510 press series, after successful screen additions to its EM 260 and EM 410 lines. Stork Screens America and the Comco Division of Mark Andy have joined forces to introduce rotary screen to the narrow-web folding carton market (with hopes to develop a complete screen program for wider widths as well). Stork Sales Manager John Costenoble believes as long as there is increasing demand for higher quality graphics, "we'll continue to see more demand."
