NAPCO Media Acquires Sole Ownership of Digital Packaging Summit and Inkjet Summit
NAPCO Media, a leading B-to-B media company, has announced the acquisition of the Inkjet Summit and the Digital Packaging Summit from nGage Events.
The Inkjet Summit, launched in 2013 as a 50/50 partnership between NAPCO and nGage, has become the most sought-after invitation in the printing industry. The hosted buyer model of the Inkjet Summit was a totally new industry concept five years ago and attendance has grown so much that the entire Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., has been sold out.
The Digital Packaging Summit (DPS) has followed a similar path of success. Launched in 2015, DPS provides an intimate environment to discuss the latest in digital printing for packaging, and to help converters better understand how to navigate their path toward digital adoption.
“These events have delivered impressive organic growth in recent years, driven by the market demand for digital printing,” said Dave Leskusky, president of NAPCO Media. “nGage has been a phenomenal partner, and played a vital role in the success of these events. We’re excited to fully integrate these brands into NAPCO Media and expand them further in the future.”
David Pesko, formerly of nGage, will join NAPCO Media as Executive Vice President of Business Development - Hosted Events & Research, and report to Mark Subers, president of the Printing, Packaging and Publishing Group.
“It has been a pleasure to work with the NAPCO Media team to launch and grow these events during the past five years,” said Phil McKay, CEO of nGage Events. “Our goal was to help educate attendees and arm them with the knowledge to make investment decisions. We’re proud that the Inkjet Summit and Digital Packaging Summit have grown into tight-knit communities. We are also thrilled that Dave Pesko will continue to lead and develop the summits as part of the NAPCO team.”
