WS Packaging Partners with Ecology Coatings

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.—Ecology Coatings, Inc. (www.ecologycoatings.com), a developer of nanotechnology-enabled, UV-curable advanced coatings, announced that it has entered into a commercialization agreement with Green Bay, Wisconsin-based WS Packaging Group, Inc. (www.wspackaging.com). Under the terms of the agreement, WS Packaging will purchase Ecology’s EcoQuik™ coatings for labels and packaging products manufactured by the company.

The label and printed products North American markets, estimated at approximately $20 billion, have ongoing requirements for cost-effective coating products that provide improved water and chemical resistance, increased productivity, and the ability to address environmental issues, such as lower energy usage and the use of solvent-free materials. Ecology Coatings’ EcoQuik™ coatings have been developed to meet these market requirements by providing the following benefits:
• Substantially lower cost alternatives to plastic laminate/glue overlays;
• Proprietary green products that are fully reclaimable with minimal disposal costs;
