Multi-Color Corporation Joins Russell 2000 Index
CINCINNATI, Ohio—Multi-Color Corporation was added to the small cap Russell 2000(R) Index when Russell Investment Group reconstituted its comprehensive set of U.S. and global equity indexes on June 22, according to the official membership posted on http://www.russell.com
Membership in the Russell 2000(R) which remains in place for one year also means automatic inclusion in the appropriate Russell 2000(R) growth or value style indexes. Russell determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.
Frank Gerace, CEO of Multi-Color Corporation stated, “We are pleased to be added to the Russell 2000(R) Index Fund. The inclusion in the Russell 2000(R) Index was the result of the increase in our market capitalization due to our strong earnings growth during FY2007.” Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. An industry-leading $4 trillion in assets currently are benchmarked to them.
