MicroDynamics Partners with SOMA for Integrated Anilox Inspection & Performance
MicroDynamics, a provider of precision roll inspection and measurement systems, is pleased to announce a new partnership with SOMA, a flexo press manufacturer.
The non-exclusive partnership allows for integration of MicroDynamics' inspection and analysis solutions into SOMA press systems and operator interfaces. The award-winning Veritas inspection instrument and MicroScan3 analysis software from MicroDynamics will power SOMA’s new in-press anilox management system. SOMA is the first flexo press manufacturer to integrate MicroDynamics inspection capabilities. The new workflow will allow printers to seamlessly inspect, verify and analyze anilox quality at the press, as well as track important anilox performance metrics such as time on press, anilox mileage, roll/sleeve life and more. All Veritas users with SOMA Optima presses will be able to take advantage of the new capabilities.
Further details of the new anilox management system will be unveiled at the SOMA – FXC event, AI & Automation in Flexographic Printing, on October 16, 2024 at the Flexo Xperience Center. The event will host multiple AI-focused sessions from industry partners, along with system demonstrations of the SOMA Optima² Intelligent Flexo Press, SOMA S-Mount Plate Mounter and the new SOMA anilox management system with MicroDynamics. A networking happy hour will conclude the event.
Brent Zurcher, MicroDynamics’ Director of Operations, will be conducting the anilox management demonstration, alongside SOMA sales and service team members. Brent comments, “as a fellow FXC partner, we are proud to support SOMA with fast, easy, and accurate anilox management instruments and software. We have witnessed many impressive SOMA demonstrations throughout the years, and we share the same vision of industry standardization and automation in Flexo. We’re looking forward to the optimization and increased productivity these integrations will bring to the future of flexographic printing. Join us at the SOMA FXC event to see it first.”
