Meyers Elevates Sustainability Standards by Joining PIM’s Great Green Printer Initiative
Meyers, a provider of sustainable packaging, has announced its partnership with the Printing Industry Midwest’s (PIM) Great Green Printer initiative. This collaboration underscores Meyers’ commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices.
As a participant in PIM’s Great Green Printer program, Meyers is intensifying its efforts to reduce its environmental footprint, promote eco-friendly printing processes, and ensure a safer work environment.
The Great Printer Environmental Initiative Program has been in place at PIM for around 30 years and recognizes printers who exceed required mandates in compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules, regulations, and laws. Great Printers demonstrate their commitment to minimizing their impact on human health and the environment while producing quality printed products.
Becoming a PIM Great Green Printer includes a confidential comprehensive compliance audit to determine adherence to mandatory compliance standards. Next, the program examines any initiatives implemented that go beyond the requirements.
“Meyers is proud to join PIM’s Great Green Printer program as part of our deep commitment to sustainability and our dedication to creating the best possible working environment,” said Michael Dillon, Chief Revenue Officer, Meyers. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our goals of reducing our environmental impact while fostering a healthier and safer workplace. We look forward to collaborating with PIM and industry partners to advance sustainability in printing for the benefit of both our employees and the planet.”
Through its Great Green Printer program membership, Meyers aims to continue its sustainability efforts while providing clients with the most sustainable packaging solutions. Meyers has already reached its goal of powering 100 percent of its operations with carbon-free electricity by the end of 2021 and achieved carbon neutrality within its operations in 2024. By further integrating sustainable practices into its operations and exceeding government requirements, Meyers strives to set new benchmarks for sustainability in the printing industry.
