McKinsey to Deliver EskoWorld Keynote Speech on 'New Normal' for Packaging Value Chain
Leading experts from McKinsey will deliver the keynote speech at this year’s EskoWorld event, detailing the ‘New Normal’ for the packaging value chain to hundreds of packaging professionals from around the world.
David Feber, a Partner who leads McKinsey’s Packaging Service Line and an expert in the packaging sector, will be joined by Daniel Nordigården, a McKinsey partner focused exclusively on the global paper and packaging industry, to deliver the speech at EskoWorld 2022.
The premier technology-focused event returns from June 7-9, 2022, with more than 500 packaging and label converters and brand representatives expected to come together live and in person at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas.
“We are looking forward to being able to meet our colleagues, our partners, and above all our customers face to face at this year’s EskoWorld,” said Melissa Plemen, Esko senior director of inside sales and marketing. “We’re putting together a packed program of workshops, discussions, and demonstrations which will provide lots of inspiration, practical tips, and hands-on learning to further boost operational efficiency and reduce waste – all of which takes on greater importance than ever as the industry navigates the effects of the global pandemic."
“We’re delighted to have secured David and Daniel to deliver the keynote speech at this year’s event, which will examine how the five major industry trends McKinsey identified in early 2019 were expected to ‘change the game’ and have further evolved during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Plemen. “With the industry seeing a strong shift towards online shopping, an acceleration of sustainability concerns, and an increased focus on food safety and hygiene, their keynote will examine what is next for the packaging industry coming out of the pandemic. They will take an updated look at which trends will be shaping the industry over the next five to ten years, and how companies across the value chain can address these trends to move towards their own ‘new normal’.”
Last year's virtual EskoWorld 2021 event attracted almost one thousand online attendees, with more than 15,000 individual registrations for the 81 dedicated sessions across five days.
“We’re finalizing the program for what I’m sure will be our biggest and best event this year,” said Melissa. “We’ll shortly be unveiling the full agenda for the event on our website and, in the meantime, we’re gearing up to discuss how cloud-based and integrated new solutions can help packaging supplier and brands continue their digital transformation journey and get packaging connected,” she said.
EskoWorld 2022 will take place from June 7-9 2022 at the Gaylord Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, near Dallas, Texas, USA. The full agenda event will be announced in the coming weeks, and registration is open now - with significant savings available for early bookings.
