McDowell Label Mourns Loss of Longtime Employee

McDowell Label issued the following message on the passing of Jay A. Luft, a longtime employee of the company.

Jay A. Luft, Managing Director of Technology and Strategic Partnerships for McDowell Label and a 40-year veteran of the Label and Packaging Industry, passed away July 1.

Jay started his career as a press operator at Mid America Tag & Label in Wisconsin. Along the way, Jay authored three industry patents and co-authored the initial “FIRST” (Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances) book. He was active in both The TLMI and FTA and served as The Chairman for the ’99 FTA Forum & INFOFLEX in San Antonio.

Jay was loved by all who knew him. Jay is survived by his wife Sharon and children. Next in Jay’s heart, was his beloved Green Bay Packers.

Jay and his one of a kind smile will be missed by all.
