Martin Automatic Enjoys Dual Presence at Labelexpo India
ROCKFORD, IL—December 5, 2012—Martin Automatic continues to support the Indian label market by exhibiting at Labelexpo India. The company’s dual presence at this year’s show included its own booth, displaying one of its newest compact butt splicers. Martin also participated at the Technology Bar, sponsored by Weldon Celloplast, where customers had the opportunity to discuss their needs with a number of world-class suppliers.
“Martin Automatic has displayed at the Labelexpo show since 2008, and this year’s event was the best yet,” reports David Ho, general manager, Asia Pacific Region. “Our message of improving profits and reducing waste through press automation is gaining acceptance among leading label printers here in India.”
Visitors to the Martin booth saw the MBSC automatic butt splicer with its compact footprint, patented linear shear splice unit and rugged, easy-to-understand design. The MBSC was courtesy of Webtech, New Delhi, their second Martin MBSC butt splicer for label stock and mono-film.
“We see the beginning of new ideas regarding label production in this region,” commented Gavin Rittmeyer, vice president of sales and marketing for Martin Automatic. “Where once the measure of success was based on the number of presses in a factory, now leading printers are choosing a streamlined production model that focuses on efficiencies to increase production and reduce waste. Leading consumer product companies are demanding these efficiency increases as they focus on sustainability initiatives across the globe. We are passionate about helping printers understand this message and the urgency of modernizing their presses through automation.”
