Martin Automatic to Highlight Splicing and Rewinding Technology at Labelexpo
Key supplier of unwind/splice and rewind technology to the narrow web market, Martin Automatic, will be exhibiting two machines from its well-proven range at the upcoming trade fair in Brussels, both of which have been sold to the All4Labels Group and will delivered direct at the end of Labelexpo for use on a Gallus Labelmaster 440 flexo press.
The MBSF (‘F’ for film) automatic unwind butt splicer on show is designed for a production environment where headroom is limited – a situation easily accommodated by Martin’s vertical accumulator (festoon) design. The splicer is capable of handling a variety of materials, including label stock and unsupported lightweight films.
The LRD is a two-spindle non-stop automatic transfer rewinder that complements the capabilities of the MBS perfectly. It is one of a range that Martin offers to automatically transfer the running web from a full roll to an empty core without stopping or slowing the line and can automatically unload finished rolls.
Following their popularity at recent trade fairs, Martin will also be showing its range of 1/12th scale 3D printed models of some of the machines it offers for various other industries beyond labels. These models inspired much conversation among visitors at Rosemont expo in 2018 while giving visitors a better understanding of the the full range of Martin’s capabilities.
The popular splice-sample closet will also feature on the stand in Brussels, as will the renowned Martin hot dogs!
