Mark Andy Holds a Coming Out Party
ST. LOUIS—April 1, 2014—Mark Andy’s recent three-day open house at its St. Louis headquarters was the coming out party for the company’s new Digital Series, the first truly integrated hybrid production digital press. The system combines highly configurable flexographic in-line converting and processing with high-quality UV inkjet digital printing, all at production-level speeds. The result is a unique system designed to provide the best total cost of operation and greatest flexibility.
According to Steve Schulte, vice president of marketing for Mark Andy, interest in the new system was strong among attendees and at least one order for the new press was signed on site.
“The Digital Series is the result of decades of packaging industry and digital printing experience and our understanding of converters’ needs,” says Schulte. “Mark Andy is positioned to be a Total Solutions Partner that can deliver end-to-end solutions for converters. This not just the press, but the services and support converters need to be successful.”
This focus was demonstrated via live demonstrations showing complete pressroom workflows from creation of HD Flexo plates with partners Esko and DuPont through output and finishing with Rotoflex equipment.
In addition, attendees got a look at the level of operator and workflow optimization training available through Mark Andy University, which shows converters how they can reinvent their operations for productivity and efficiency.
