Manchester Industries and ECM Converting Company Merge
MENDON, Mich.—Manchester Industries and ECM Converting Company announced that the two companies would be merging. The merger, intended to expand product offerings and improve service for both companies’ customers began in February and is expected to be complete by June 1.
ECM is known for its technology and as an innovator in the industry. It is a test site for Marquip precision sheeter technology and owns the patented Quick Change skid insert. ECM is also known for having particularly strong relationships with its customer base.
Manchester Industries brings a vast distribution network to the merger with locations in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Texas. It also brings a broad product offering that includes a complete line of recycled, fine-printing grade bleached board, and domestic and offshore papers.
“We have a real opportunity here,” said Dan Myers, president of ECM. “The strengths of these two companies mesh so well, as do their respective teams, that the result is going to be a definite advantage for both companies’ customers. Simply put, we’re going to be able to provide quality products to more people, more efficiently than ever before. It’s a win-win-win. A win for Manchester and ECM, a win for our customers, and a win for their customers as well.”
