Suppliers for the North American food market are well aware of the spotlight on food safety, stemming in part from the passing of The Food Safety Modernization Act in 2011. Malnove responded proactively by completing the Food Safety Systems Certification (FSSC) 22000 just last year. This certification is part of an international standard for food safety directed at food and food packaging manufacturers. In part, it establishes standards for food safety, cleanliness and housekeeping that are considered state of the art.
