RONKONKOMA, N.Y.—“Under one roof.” “One-stop shopping.” “All encompassing.”… Those are the catch phrases that can be heard resonating throughout the package printing and converting industry these days. What’s creating all the buzz? Next year’s GRAPH EXPO®PackPrintSM.
The combined events, managed by Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) and sponsored by Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), slated for Sept. 9-12, 2007, will be held in Chicago’s McCormick Place, in the North and South Exhibit Halls. An estimated 40,000+ attendees will be present to view live demonstrations of five major printing processes: flexo; gravure; offset; digital; and wide-format graphics. They’ll also seize an opportunity to learn about hybrid press technology and in-line converting. In fact, attendee demographics at GRAPH EXPO point to the need for a tradeshow to deliver multiple solutions under one roof. Surveys show more than 60 percent of attendees are looking for equipment and supplies to either move into package printing or learn about the new technologies/processes to enhance their plant’s efficiencies. Esko Graphics, Inc. recently signed on for 800 sq. ft. of exhibit space. Mark Vanover, director of marketing for the company, commented, “We chose to exhibit next year at PackPrint because the focus and target demographics are those people that we want to reach. While Esko had great success at GRAPH EXPO this year, and attained our sales goals thanks to the considerable presence of package printers and converters, we believe that with fTA’s partnership, the colocation of PackPrint with GRAPH EXPO will do two things next year---attract more companies
