Mactac Adds High Heat-Resistant Labels to LINTEC Durable Goods/Industrial Labeling Line
Withstanding temperatures as high as 572 degrees Fahrenheit, Mactac announces the launch of its new high heat-resistant labels.
The high heat-resistant labelstocks are part of Mactac’s growing LINTEC Durable Goods and Industrial Labeling product line and are designed for barcode applications, such as circuit boards, electronics, automotive components, and appliances.
“Our new LINTEC high heat-resistant labelstocks were designed to stand up to extreme heat, solder, fluxes, solvents, and chemicals, making them perfect for circuit board assembly and other similar applications,” said Kim Hensley, senior marketing manager, Mactac Performance Adhesives. “They have a unique heat-resistant adhesive that is paired with an innovative heat-resistant top-coat resulting in outstanding performance in high heat applications.”
Mactac’s high heat-resistant labels are proven to maintain whiteness, barcode legibility, and adhesive performance when exposed to temperatures as high as 572 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 10 minutes.
The heat-resistant topcoat enables excellent ink and barcode printability and is resistant to abrasion and ribbon smudging. Labels can be digital or thermal transfer printed.
Mactac’s high heat-resistant labelstocks, include the following product constructions:
- 2.4-mil white top-coated polyimide film with a 2.0-mil clear polyester liner and heat-resistant adhesive (maximum temperature 572 degrees Fahrenheit)
- 1.4-mil white top-coated polyimide film with a 65# blue glassine paper liner and heat-resistant adhesive (maximum temperature 482 degrees Fahrenheit)
- 1.6-mil white top-coated polyetherimide material with a 65# blue glassine paper liner and heat-resistant adhesive (maximum temperature 482 degrees Fahrenheit)
Mactac’s LINTEC products deliver customers high-end solutions with more value for a competitive edge that is ‘clearly different.’
