M-real Rebrands Itself as Metsä Board Corporation

NORWALK, CT—April 30, 2012—At the Annual General Meeting on March 28, 2012, it was decided that M-real Corporation’s business name would be changed to Metsä Board Corporation. The new name was registered on April 12, 2012.

As a part of Metsä Group’s (formerly Metsäliitto Group) new common identity, the company is now able to strengthen its visibility in the market. M-real USA Corp has changed to Metsä Board Americas Corporation.

During recent years, the company has worked ambitiously to transform to a profitable paperboard company. Its structural transformation is at a stage where it wants to communicate this through its new company name Metsä Board.

The new name and identity reflect a company—that is according to its strategy—strongly focused on high-quality ecological paperboards, and is innovative, responsible and stronger than before. Metsä Board’s products are at the very top of their fields and create sustainable wellbeing for people’s everyday life.

The company's e-mail addresses have been changed to firstname.lastname@metsagroup.com format and Metsä Board’s new Web address is www.metsaboard.com. Its tax ID, telephone and addresses remain the same. Invoice payments should continue to be sent to Metsa-Finance.
