Four Member Facilities Gain L.I.F.E. Certifications
GLOUCESTER, MA—Feb. 19, 2013—As TLMI’s L.I.F.E. Certification program continues to expand throughout the marketplace, four more association member facilities have recently announced certification.
The program’s newly certified plants include Loparex’s Eden, North Carolina facility and Green Bay Packaging’s Riverside, MI, Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Brooklyn Center, MN facilities. The L.I.F.E. program was developed in order to assist TLMI members to find cost effective ways to reduce their companies’ environmental footprint. L.I.F.E. is a program designed specifically for the narrow web marketplace and addresses four key elements of the narrow web printing and converting industry: clean production, energy and greenhouse gases, product and environmentally preferable materials, and management practices.
Melissa King, Marketing Leader for Loparex comments, “The L.I.F.E. Certification process has helped Loparex facilities achieve our current level of excellence with regards to recycling and green initiatives. The program also helps us demonstrate our commitment to lead, promote, and maintain environmentally responsible practices for the benefit of our customers, employees and the communities in which we operate.”
Jay Jagodinski, Safety and Environmental Manager, Green Bay Packaging Coated Products Division, comments, “Green Bay Packaging is proud to receive L.I.F.E. Certification from TLMI. This certification comes as a result of our management’s commitment to sustainability and of all the waste reduction work our employees do every day to ensure that we are responsible stewards of the environment. We believe that L.I.F.E. certification will be a sign to our customers that we share their dedication to a greener world.”
