Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (Kongsberg PCS) will be demonstrating award-winning productivity at this year’s PRINTING United, when the company showcases the Kongsberg Ultimate at the annual expo.
Visitors to this year’s event, held from 10-12 September at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada, will have the chance to see the multi-award-winning Ultimate in action alongside the MultiCam Apex3R and Kongsberg X24, as Kongsberg PCS demonstrates how its cutting and routing solutions maximize productivity, quality and innovation.
“We’re very excited to be bringing the game-changing Kongsberg Ultimate to PRINTING United,” said Matt Thackray, VP & General Manager of Kongsberg PCS operations in America. “Following its American debut at a special event at our Customer Experience Center earlier this year, the Kongsberg Ultimate has not only been named Best Wide Format Cutting Solution in the EDP Awards announced at drupa, but also recently received a prestigious PRINTING United Alliance 2024 Pinnacle Product Award.
“We are incredibly proud of these awards, which are testament to the significant advances we have made in developing solutions that address the need for businesses to produce more, better and faster,” said Matt. “With its impressive acceleration rate of up to 2.74G and remarkable cutting speed of 168 meters per minute, the Kongsberg Ultimate truly addresses the unique challenges faced by corrugated converters involved in continuous high volume multi-batch production.”
Matt said the table that is transforming corrugated production would be joined at booth C1585 by two other innovative machines that boost productivity while delivering the highest quality results demanded by customers around the world.
“As well as having an opportunity to see the Ultimate, we’ll be showing visitors why the MultiCam Apex3R is the flagship in our MultiCam range of advanced routing and CNC cutting systems,” he said. “We’ll be putting the Apex3R through its paces to show how it has the perfect balance between performance and precision. With its combination of power, flexibility and an extensive selection of innovative tools that make handling materials as non-ferrous metals, plastics, wood, rubber and many different foams, the Apex3R truly sets the standard in CNC routing.
“Not only that,” said Matt, “but as this year marks 35 years of the MultiCam brand, visitors to our booth at PRINTING United can also expect a few surprises!”
What will not come as a surprise is the return of the Kongsberg X24 cutting table, following its huge popularity at last year’s event. “Renowned as the most versatile digital finishing device on the market, the X24 has the superior quality and wide range of specialty tools that combine to deliver the speed, power and flexibility businesses need,” said Matt. “It can handle a wide variety of materials, such as corrugated, folding carton, solid board, foam, coating blankets, wood and a long list of plastics.
“Importantly the versatility of the modular X range means tools can be added specifically to work with new materials, new applications, or deliver more capacity,” he said. “This enables business to add volume to production and gives them the tools they need to enter new markets.”
Matt said PRINTING United would give Kongsberg PCS the opportunity to showcase how the company is more driven than ever to provide the innovative solutions that packaging, sign and display manufacturers need to meet today’s ever-changing demands. “With our new technology and a commitment to addressing customer pain points, we are looking forward to demonstrating how we are harnessing the latest technology to enable businesses to unlock their potential, supercharge productivity and to maximize their return on investment,” he said.
