KBA Announces New Inkjet Series
CHICAGO—September 29, 2014—KBA North America launched its newest RotaJET L Series inkjet press, at GRAPH EXPO 14. This new high-volume, ultra-flexible modular RotaJET 89 – 130 press platform expands KBA’s digital printing portfolio.
The retrofittable RotaJET L product series is available in various web widths, maximum printing widths and color content. The products are designed to serve the packaging, book, direct mail, magazine, newspaper and industrial printing markets. The RotaJET can be optimally configured to suit the respective market and industry environment it is needed for.
The series includes five RotaJET printing systems that can handle web widths ranging from 895 to 1,300 mm (35.2 inches to 51.1 inches). Because all of these new systems have been developed based on an identical platform, it is possible to upgrade a KBA RotaJET 89 (web width 895 mm/35.2 inches) to a RotaJET 100, RotaJET 112, RotaJET 123, or RotaJET 130 (web width 1,300 mm/51.1 inches). It is also possible to modify a one-color monochrome system into a four-color system.
The KBA RotaJET has been designed to be retrofitted with future print head generations. The KBA RotaJET can also be integrated into existing offset landscapes because the systems do not require adjustments of the usual web widths or print substrate logistics.
The KBA RotaJET 89 – 130 printing systems based on this new series will continue to supplement the RotaJET 76, which is still available, but its printing width of 781 mm (30.7 inches) cannot be extended.
