Kammann Introduces K15-F for Direct Bottle Printing
ST. CHARLES, Ill.—Kammann Machines, Inc. has successfully transferred its precision-based screen print technology to the direct bottle branding process. The Kammann K15-F is a universal screen-printing machine for the decoration of cylindrical, conical, oval and flat containers.
“Direct bottle branding offers many advantages over conventional label printing, and the K15-F was designed to provide the most versatile, highest-quality direct printing on the market,” said Steve Gilbertson, president of Kammann. “In addition, our production partners allow us to provide a turn-key solution to companies that want to create a high-quality image while realizing cost savings and eco-friendly processing.”
The K15-F offers the advantages of screen printing, along with superior production methods:
• Superior Look and Feel. Direct screen printing supports a vast variety of strong opaque colors and a superior tactile feel to the container, for a high-quality image.
• Simplified Tooling. The K15-F’s simplified retooling method saves companies hours in retooling time and training.
• Eco-Friendly. Direct printing eliminates labels and glue that typically add years to the decomposition of the container. Screen printing also results in cleaner recycled scrap.
• Circular Design and Compact Footprint. Changeover times are minimized with the K15-F, due to 16 bottle carrier stations in one pass of the round indexing table. In addition, the K15-F is offered in a space-saving footprint, and can minimize handling by being placed closer to the molding machines feeding it.
