IST America Wins ICE Innovation Award

BOLINGBROOK, Ill.—A new energy saving UV curing technology offered by IST America Corporation, the North American subsidiary of IST METZ Germany, has been awarded the ICE Innovation award for its energy minimized UV curing system, BLK-5. The awards were given at ICE Europe 2009 in Munich in November.

With the BLK-5, IST presents a new drying system that is energy-efficient and yet still delivers high curing performance. The reduced energy consumption of the new UV system is reflected in measurable reductions in CO² emissions. With this newly developed UV curing system, several tons of CO² emissions could be avoided every year, resulting in a reduced carbon foot print.

This is the second international award IST METZ has received for this advanced UV system design.
