i2S Group Unit Linescan Strengthens American Presence
PESSAC, France—i2S Linescan, a worldwide specialist in surface inspection, quality control and process optimization systems, will be bolstering its presence on the American market on June 1, 2007 by opening a new sales office in Orange, Conn. for its subsidiary i2S Linescan Imaging Inc.
Given the significant prospects for business development in the United States, Linescan’s new office is part of a push to be close to the market so as to be better able to react to customer requirements and to increase business relationships in the United States, Canada and South America.
“The choice of opening a new office and establishing a presence here is a new step in the development of our i2S Linescan division and is a response to increased surface inspection activity in the American market. Our presence on this continent is a strategic choice to have better communication and meet our customers’ expectations,” comments Alain RICROS, chairman of the supervisory board of the i2S group, who is in charge of international affairs and partnerships. “Our solutions have already been adopted by many well-known American customers (like Mitsubishi Polyester Film, AFG, GE). This new step will allow our customers to benefit from the advantages of having local service. This structure will act as a hub for technology transfer and will have complete business and technical autonomy to adapt our solutions to the American market,” adds Adrien POLY, manager of i2S linescan business unit and supervisor of i2S Imaging Corporation America.
This new office includes a sales force targeting the entire American continent and a technical support infrastructure that will offer local services and direct support contact (demo platform and spare parts inventory). The prospects of increased sales will result in 2007 in a strengthening of the existing team and the hiring of new employees.
