Heidelberg To Hold Workflow Integration Event
KENNESAW, Ga.—Heidelberg USA will host a one-day event at its state-of-the-art Print Media Demonstration Center (PMDC) in Kennesaw, Ga. on Dec. 3. The event, which is organized around the theme, “Workflow Integration: The Difference Between Surviving and Thriving,” will focus on high-level workflow integration using existing products and money-saving efficiencies the equipment can offer.
During the event, visitors will participate in a series of live and remote demonstrations and presentations focusing on Heidelberg’s prepress, press, and postpress/packaging products including: the Speedmaster XL 75 and XL 105 presses, the Speedmaster SM 52 press with Anicolor short-inking unit, the Varimatrix and KAMA ProCut diecutters, and the Diana and KAMA folder/gluers, as well as additional packaging solutions and assorted cutting, folding, and stitching solutions.
Visitors will be able to attend additional knowledge-packed sessions during the event including:
• Anicolor: Competing with Short-Run Digital for 7¢/Click Total Cost to Print;
• Packaging 101 for Commercial Printers;
• Business Consulting: Do you know your quote-to-job ratio?
Each session is designed to provide visitors with a high-level overview of each topic. Additionally, a panel discussion on “Connecting your Management Information System (MIS) to Your Production Systems, Color Management Issues and Profitability” will be held with special guests: Jay Katzenberger, product manager at EFI; Dr. Mark Bohan, vice president, technology and research at Printing Industries of America; and Chuck Koehler, color specialist at Heidelberg USA.
“The PMDC is the ideal venue to showcase the breadth and depth of Heidelberg’s product portfolio,” said James Martin, senior vice president of marketing. “An event like this gives printers an opportunity to ask questions of Heidelberg product experts in an environment that is less chaotic and distracting than a ‘typical’ trade show. Experience has shown that events like these can be of significant value in educating our customers, especially when it comes to answering important market trends like workflow integration that are having a profound effect on their businesses.”
