HarperScientific Donates Phantom Proofer to FFTA Auction
Charlotte, N.C.—Feb. 6, 2012—In a show of support for the second annual FIRST Operator Certification Scholarship Fund, global anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation has donated a Phantom™ Proofer from its HarperScientific division.
The proofer will be auctioned off in an effort to raise money for the FIRST Operator Certification Scholarship Fund. The scholarship money will be awarded to individuals pursuing FIRST press or pre-press certification. Sponsored by the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association, or FFTA, this certification presents a well-rounded, multi-level curriculum that teaches the skill sets necessary to thrive in the flexographic industry. The auction, which will take place online, is scheduled to begin on February 20, 2012 and end on March 19, 2012 at 5:00 pm CST.
The Phantom™ Proofer provides precision ink delivery through a laser engraved ceramic anilox roll. It also integrates a rubber transfer roll and doctor blade metering. HarperScientific is proud to support the efforts of the FFTA and the educational services that it provides to flexographic professionals.
