Harper Joins Sustainable Green Printing Partnership
“Harper Corporation’s support as an SGP Patron demonstrates the company’s continuous commitment to education and sustainability,” remarks Dr. Doreen Monteleone, Director of Special Projects for the Flexographic Technical Foundation and Treasurer for the SGP Program.
For Harper Corporation, going green means doing what is right to protect resources and the planet for future generations. To support its sustainability initiatives, Harper has implemented recycling programs and adopted a four-day work week, thereby lowering employee commute miles by 20 percent and contributing to the improvement of local air quality. In production processes, the company has developed responsibly manufactured programs to prevent pollution, save energy, and reduce the use of raw materials. The products sold to sustain anilox roll life are biodegradable, using chemistry with reduced VOC rates. Additionally, Harper Corporation is focusing its resources and research into developing new lines of cleaners that are 100 percent green.
