Hammer Packaging Chooses Radius Solutions as ERP/MIS Partner

Chicago, Ill.—Radius Solutions Ltd., an integrated business information management/enterprise resource planning provider for the printing and packaging industry, announced that Hammer Packaging is implementing Radius’ PECAS Vision to support its strategic business objectives.

In order to accommodate its rapid growth and to lay a foundation of support for its long-term business objectives, Hammer Packaging decided to replace its existing information management systems with a single integrated end-to-end solution that will tie together its multi-facility operations. The new system will automate manual processes and eliminate the need to internally maintain multiple systems, databases, and spreadsheets to manage daily operations and reporting.

“Now that we have five different facilities, it has become more difficult to track down the right person to get information whenever we need it. We require a system that we can easily use for real-time access to accurate business information,” said Jason Hammer, manager of production services, at Hammer Packaging.

Hammer Packaging enjoys acclaim for its workplace employee practices, and wanted to deploy technology that would enable its employees to increase productivity, automate processes, and eliminate manual rework. “We feel it is critical to provide our employees with the tools to get their jobs done as efficiently and effectively as possible,” said Hammer.

Hammer Packaging considered a number of software vendors both industry specific and generic ERP providers, before thoroughly evaluating two final vendors and selecting Radius Solutions. The industry-specific focus and references were strong deciding factors.

Hammer Packaging will implement the entire PECAS Vision Suite including: sales and production estimating, order handling, production scheduling, shop floor data collection, material purchasing and inventory control, job costing and financials. The application roll-out will start at its Rochester Headquarters and is expected to be completed across all of its facilities by the beginning of next January.
