Kodak’s GUA Holding Special Events at Graph Expo
RESTON, Va.—The Graphic Users Association (GUA) has announced it will hold a number of events in Chicago, co-located with GRAPH EXPO 2010.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the GUA, sponsored by Kodak, comprises more than 3,500 user members. According to GUA President Tom Clifford, Digital Development Manager at HC Miller Company, the association is designed to facilitate a greater sharing of knowledge among workflow users and reveal best practices for greater profitability. “The GUA is growing and continually building tools, resources and new forums relevant to business owners, presidents, managers, technical supervisors and technicians,” he said. “In that sense, holding these GUA events in conjunction with GRAPH EXPO 2010 works out perfectly; our members will have the opportunity to share information with other Kodak users, then build upon their knowledge by walking the show floor at GRAPH EXPO 2010, which provides a whole new level of education.”
GUA events include a Board meeting on Sunday, October 3, at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, just adjacent to where GRAPH EXPO 2010 is being held in McCormick Place South, as well as a combined GUA and Kodak Customer Reception taking place later that same day in the Eastman Kodak Company booth, #1227. All Kodak customers, GUA members and others interested in learning more about the association are invited to attend the reception. Attendees can meet GUA members, Kodak representatives, and network with other graphic communications professionals. Finally, an educational session, “K-Zone Presentations: Unified Workflow - Invaluable,” will take place October 5, on the K-Zone stage located in the Kodak booth. GUA Board members will participate in this panel discussion that will center on workflow trends and market segment opportunities in the ever-changing print industry.
“With the breadth and depth of solutions aimed at the workflow and digital and transactional printing markets, GRAPH EXPO 2010 offers an ideal backdrop for GUA events,” observed Ralph Nappi, president of the Graphic Arts Show Company. “GUA members will have ample opportunities to learn new profit-boosting ideas for their businesses, explore how to maximize their production efficiencies, and more fully understand how their operations compare and compete in today's marketplace.”
