Goldenrod Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of winding tools including shafts and chucks for the paper, plastics, film, and foil converting industries, has announced that effective immediately, it has promoted Matthew Newsom to the newly created position of OEM Manager.
Goldenrod created this new position to better service the company’s increased business with the OEM market, according to David Sullivan, Goldenrod’s VP of Sales.
“Matt has extensive experience in the converting industry with a wide range of application knowledge,” said Sullivan. “By focusing on the OEM market Matt will be a single point contact facilitating the flow of information between customers and Goldenrod staff.”
Through Newsom, OEM customers will now have a link directly to Goldenrod’s engineering staff and resources.
Newsom has worked at Goldenrod for the past 13 years and has over 30 years of experience in the printing and converting industry. Prior to Goldenrod, he owned his own printing business, and worked for industry leaders including Berry Plastics and FLEXcon. He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology.
“I am looking forward to helping streamline our communication with our important OEM customers,” he said. “This new position will allow Goldenrod to provide better responsiveness, efficiency and overall service.”
